A Guide on Playing with Google Stadia on Your iPhone and iPad

Many people are upset about not using game streaming applications on the iPhone and iPad. It is because Apple doesn’t include such apps in the App Store. However, it didn’t stop Google from bringing Stadia to the Apple devices.

Google Stadia

Stadia is a cloud gaming service, which is capable of streaming video games at 60-frames per second. Fortunately, any Stadia user using the free tier or the paid Stadia Pro subscription can now access the library of games on Apple devices.

How to Use Stadia on iPhone and iPad?

Below mentioned are the instructions to use Stadia on iPhone and iPad. So, let’s get started!

  1. Launch any web browser; for instance, Safari.
  2. Tap on the search bar and search for stadia.google.com.
  3. Enter your Google account details in the given space and sign in.
  4. If you want to use a third-party Bluetooth controller, pair the same with your iPhone or iPad.
  5. Locate and select a game in the ‘Home’ tab. If there are no games, purchase one from the Stadia Store.
  6. Open the game and hit the ‘Play’ button once you’re ready to begin.

Adding Stadia to iPhone or iPad’s Home Screen

You can quickly access Stadia by adding it to your iPhone or iPad’s home screen. Additionally, it allows you to play in full screen without any tabs getting in the way. Therefore, the steps to add Stadia to iPhone or iPad’s home screen are:

  1. Launch the Safari browser.

Note: A home screen shortcut for Stadia can only be created using Safari.

  1. Navigate to Stadia’s website and enter Google account details to sign in.
  2. Locate the ‘Share’ icon at the bottom of the screen and click on the same.
  3. A pop-up menu will open. Select the ‘Add to Home Screen’ option.
  4. A preview window will open, including the associated URL. Hit the ‘Add’ button in the upper-right corner of the window.

As soon as you click on the ‘Add’ button, a Stadia shortcut will be created. You can check the same on the home screen of your iPhone or iPad.

To launch Stadia, click on its icon. If you want to move it to a new place, press and hold on the icon until it starts jiggling. Next, drag the icon to a new place.

That was easy, right? It is a huge thing for all the Apple users who couldn’t access Stadia earlier. Thus, create a shortcut now and start streaming.
